Delete your account
Applies to the Vraie: Skincare AI app by BetaCarry. Last updated July 7, 2026.
You can permanently delete your Vraie account and the data associated with it at any time — either directly in the app (instant) or by emailing us. This page explains both paths, exactly what gets erased, and the little that's kept.
Delete in the app (instant)
- Open Vraie and go to the Vraie ID tab (first tab).
- Tap the account icon in the top-right corner.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Deletion runs immediately — your account and the data listed below are permanently erased, and the app returns to its start screen.
No longer have the app?
Email betacarryapp@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Vraie account”, sent from the email address linked to your account (or tell us the Apple/Google account you signed in with). We verify it's you, then complete the same deletion within 30 days — usually much sooner.
What is permanently deleted
- Your sign-in identity (Apple, Google, or email) — your login stops working immediately
- Your profile: name, quiz answers, skin goals, routine, journey and progress history
- Your skin scan photos and AI projection images stored in your cloud folder
- Your skin analysis results
- Any opt-in training-data contributions, their photos, and the anonymous contribution token that linked them to you
- Your referral code and any unredeemed referral credit balance
- Records linking your account to a subscription
What is kept, and why
- Purchase and billing records are held by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by us — we never see or store your payment card. Those records follow Apple's and Google's own retention policies.
- Anonymized referral-ledger entries (e.g., “a $10 credit was issued on this date”) are retained for financial audit and fraud prevention. They no longer identify you once your account is gone.
- Aggregated, de-identified analytics (e.g., how many people completed a scan that week) that cannot be traced back to you.
There is no additional retention period on our side beyond the items above — the deletion of your account data is immediate, not queued.
One important thing first: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Billing is managed by Apple/Google, so cancel there (it's quick): on iPhone, Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Vraie → Cancel; on Android, Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Vraie → Cancel. Then delete your account.
Want to delete less than everything?
You don't have to delete your whole account to take data back. In the app you can delete just your opt-in training-data contributions at any time (Journey tab → “A fairer model” → remove my contributions), and your account stays intact. You can also email us to request specific data be removed.
